Measuring length
We have been exploring the playground during Big Maths this week, looking for objects that are shorter or longer than a meter stick.We found plenty!
Measurement
During Big Maths this week, the children have been learning to measure surface area. We used counters and gem stones to measure the area of a variety of shapes. We found that the cat shape had the largest surface area with it requiring 179 gem stones!
Great to see the children learning outdoors. James talking about the metre stick and measuring things at home :)
