Learning through play

Do you like what we have been building? Lots of creativity and teamwork happening in P2 this week!

Magic a_e

Our new phonics sound last week was magic a_e. The children practised saying words containing their sound using the magic e wands. We found this quite tricky so will be continuing to practise it this week.

Maths workshop fun!

P2 were very lucky to be visited by some of the ladies from the education resource service who had a range of maths activities planned for us. We counted, added, made estimations and measured to name but a few of the skills we consolidated. Lots of fun had by all! A big thanks to Claire (Emily's mummy) for arranging the session.

Measuring length

We have been exploring the playground during Big Maths this week, looking for objects that are shorter or longer than a meter stick. We found plenty!

Sense of Touch

We have been exploring our sense of touch this week. We had a try at tracing shapes, numbers and letters on our partners back and they had to try and guess which it was! Then we had different objects to pass around the circle to touch and describe. The children's favourite was most definitely the jelly. They thought it felt slimy, jiggly and disgusting.
