We have had the parachute out during our PE sessions this week. This has proved to be lots of fun! Ask your child about some of the games we have played and which has been their favourite.
We used the pan balance scales on Monday during maths to measure the weights of various objects around the classroom. We worked with a partner to identify the heaviest and lightest objects.
During Big Maths this week, the children have been learning to measure surface area. We used counters and gem stones to measure the area of a variety of shapes. We found that the cat shape had the largest surface area with it requiring 179 gem stones!
To help with our money counting skills, the children designed their own shops. Afterwards, we took it in turns to visit each others shops, buying items and using coins to pay with the correct amounts.
