We have been very busy in gym this term: balancing, rolling, jumping and working cooperatively to name but a few of the skills we've been working on during gymnastics!
During Big Maths this week, the children have been learning to measure surface area. We used counters and gem stones to measure the area of a variety of shapes. We found that the cat shape had the largest surface area with it requiring 179 gem stones!
Our new phonics sound last week was magic a_e. The children practised saying words containing their sound using the magic e wands. We found this quite tricky so will be continuing to practise it this week.
